Our Summer Adventures: Week 3 Day 3 - Sunday, May 31st

Sunday was such a great relaxing day. Arnold and I had the rule that whoever got up first had to go to the house and flip the laundry. I think we were both kind of waiting in bed for the other person to get up. Eventually I went. When I returned I found Quinton in Nana and Papa’s bus. I guess DH set them up with a movie and Kyler showed Q the outside and goes, “Look Nana’s bus!” and that was it! DH had to take Q over there and they played with some Duplo.

Kyler eventually came over to the bus once he noticed that there was a smell of eggs and bacon! K played with the toys as well and Papa and Daddy stood outside and made supper. They had fun, and breakfast was great! The best part or helpful part! Papa puts the bacon grease on the fire! It so helps with making a fire later that night!

We sat down and had our breakfast in the bus. After breakfast Arnold and Papa headed back out to the house and did another load of laundry, some grocery shopping, some hardware shopping, and got some wood from the house. Nana and I took care of the kiddos and played with our cameras for a bit.

Once they got home Papa and DH started to take the trailer sides apart! They took off the ‘legs’ (the part that holds the roof up) and sanded them and painted them! I hung some laundry DH brought back and then headed back to the house to do another load. This time I took Q. He was having a rough time so we went to the house and did some last minute cleaning up and had a blast! I cleaned things up and found one of those tide brushes. They go around in a vibrating motion so you can ‘scrub’ out the stains. Anyway Q played with that while I cleaned everything up, took out the garbage and recycle and got the last few things done in the house. It was good to be finished that! I even managed to toss some of the chairs in the van and the freezer food as well as the donation bags.

Once Q and I got home everyone had already had lunch so we found some leftovers and had our lunch and then Nana, Kyler and Amber came home from a little walk I think. We visited with them for a bit then it was nap time. Everyone had naps in Nana’s bus as our trailer wasn’t even close to being able to be used! The boys bed was pushed in because of the ‘legs’ getting painted.

Taking a break

The men got 3 of the 4 legs done before nap time and then Arnold and I left and got the last load from the house. Nothing was left there. IT was really hard to take. We stopped to visit some of our neighbours and say goodbye and then we were off. We came home and started making supper right away. It worked out rather well for timing.

After supper Nana and I took the kids for another bike ride around while Papa and Arnold put the last leg back up on the trailer.

Arnold and I went up to the washrooms to wash out the potty and everyone else got ready for their bike/scooter/walk to the garbage run. We met them on our way back and went around the circle with them.
