Week 6 Day 5 - Tuesday, June 23rd, ST and special treats!

We had a quick morning hanging out and playing and then we headed off to Speech Therapy. All of us went (in other words Kyler, Quinton and I) this time. I had our babysitter, Rachel, meet us there. She finished up school the week before I think and was more than willing to make some extra cash. It worked out well for us.

It was another hot hot day so Rachel and Kyler were allowed to hang out in the Centre we go to for the Speech therapy. I did double check that if I left the babysitter here with Kyler was it ok. She said sure no problem so they played with some new toys and such the whole hour. They loved it!
I’ll post more about Q’s ST later.
After we were done we drove Rachel home, the roundabout way since I had to get some cash. When we dropped her off we headed home to hang out. The boys got a special treat by going to get the mail and then going to the pizza store! The pizza shop up the road was having a sale on their ready to go ones so we picked up one med cheese, and one med pepperoni pizza. The boys also got their special drinks as well. I tell yah, if you want to try something different as far as drinks go make sure you like it! K has such a great memory he got me a root beer at the pizza shop and I don’t normally drink them, just when we get pizza from there.

We got home and had lunch and hung out for a bit. It was nice to relax. We even shared the pizza with the electrician coming around checking all the boxes for water. Nap time happen shortly after that and we didn’t do much until Daddy got home. Here’s what the boys had to say about nap time:

And K just wanted his photo taken:

Arnold made supper and had a fire with the kids while I went out to Bible Study and chilled there with some girlfriends for a while.

I got home around 10 or so and Kyler was out. Quinton on the other hand was wide awake! He got some hugs and kisses from me and then I put him back to bed. He freaked. Arnold and I couldn’t figure out what was bothering him and then Arnold guessed it. I guess earlier that night the boys were walking back from the washrooms and Q saw the Raccoons and got scared. Normally when we get close (and they are out) one of us will take his hand so he is ok but for some reason he freaked out. We had left their ‘back’ window open so Kyler could check for monsters (last night) and tonight it was scaring Q. Arnold closed the window and then Q knocked right out.

Week 5 Day 1 - Friday, June 12 - Relaxing

Clean clean clean!

That’s all I seem to be doing lately. Maybe it’s not so much cleaning but organizing or putting things away when other people don’t put it away properly.
Today the boys got up early, well early compared to yesterday. Q got up early enough to go and visit with Daddy in the RT for breakfast and K got up just after Arnold left for work.

I managed to sneak a few shots of Q sneaking breakfast (we more breakfast):

They goofed off for a bit and then went outside to drive the birds crazy. Today is just not the best day for me and them. I think we have reached our limits. I’ve been with them all day this week. And I really just wanted to have some time with other people (like a zoo day with friends) or just have a bit of a break during the week.

Anyway today I have gone through our drawers and taken out the clothes we haven’t used in a month (most is warm clothes or dressier clothes) and I’m going to bring them to the storage unit today or tomorrow. Hopefully I can get the trailer and RT cleaned up a bit before people come to visit on Sunday for the boys birthday parties!

Once the boys were done goofing off for a bit they had lunch and came inside for a nap. Q went down almost right away but Kyler wanted to play. I let him outside and *just* as I did I looked up to see a Raccoon visiting the campsite next to us (I spent most of the day watching this woman, her daughter and boyfriend sent up 3 tent and then leave)

I think K managed to scare it away! He didn’t come into our yard that’s for sure.

It was SOOO hot today. I ended up setting up the sprinkler and letting the boys play in it after nap time:

Once Arnold got home we had meat on a stick, potatoes and carrots. It was REALLY good! I had put the camera away in the afternoon and wouldn’t you know it, the boys just wanted photos taken. Instead I just enjoyed being with them for a bit!

At night we put the boys down to bed and Arnold and I stayed outside and had some hot chocolate, and visited around the campfire. It was nice to hang out. We really enjoyed not doing much and visiting. We got to look at the stars and generally do nothing. It was a lot of fun!

Week 4 Day 4 - June 8th - Soccer Practice

After the boys nap (which was until about when we had to leave) everyone seemed MUCH better. The boys got dressed and we headed off to soccer. Early mind you. I did everything in my power to stop them from leaving but once a 4 year old gets it in his head that he can go to soccer after his nap he means RIGHT after his nap!

We closed up the campsite and headed off. I took the long way and we stopped at the grocery store and picked up some stuff for Daddy’s suppers. Tomorrow I’m going to Auntie Kristina’s house and borrowing her stove. I’m making Arnold some more of his meals for work (Sheppard’s pie and lasagna) and then on Wednesday we are going to have dinner with Daddy at work and bringing in his meals for him. He needs about 7 meals a week (2 for soccer days and 1 for the other days) Hopefully this will tie him over for at least 2 more weeks.

Anyway we went to McDonalds for supper and met up with Auntie Kristina, Uncle Tim and E. We had a quick supper and then off to the soccer fields. Kyler just wore his soccer shoes as it was really cold (and sometimes raining) and I didn’t want him getting sick. I forgot our camp chairs again. I’m going to have to remember to bring them! K did great at practice (sorry no photos I was watching Q). They did dribbling, around the cones, passing and a small game. They liked everything along but Kyler is still having a hard time understanding that once he gets the ball from people (the opposite team) that he needs to kick it again. I’m hoping some YouTube videos might help. If anyone has any other suggestions let me know!

Daddy got there about half way through the practice and I could switch boys I was with. I tried explaining the above concept to Kyler but it wasn’t really working. Around 7:15pm or so we called it quits. One or 2 other players had to leave so we had something to drink and then headed out. It was a good practice!

Daddy drove home and once we got there the boys and I read a chapter from our book we are working on “The Accidental Detectives : The Mystery Tribe of Camp Blackeagle” and then the boys got their snacks and watched George. I sure am going to be sad once that movie goes back to the Library. We *might* try and get it again if we can!
We finally got them to sleep.
Then the thunder started!

Week 3 Day 7 - Thursday, June 4th - Laundry Day

Yah!! 2 nights in a row and I *think* we are winning. Arnold did end up outside at 5am because a box fell over. Now if that’s because of the raccoons or not we will never know (it was up kinda high, and according to Arnold very shaky so who knows!).

We started this morning running late. How odd that we always seem to be late in such a nice, laid back, atmosphere. But such is life I guess. Arnold was a bit late getting up and in turn everyone was a bit late doing everything. I rushed to the washroom and back so he could be on his way and for some reason he kept forgetting everything.

Once Arnold was off I went through our ‘wear at least 2 to 3 times’ box and found the boys some ‘new’ clothes to wear today. Then it was off. Kyler started with getting our laundry bike stroller and filling it up with things I gave him; our laundry bag, more clothes from daddy, some soap and spray and wash, some drinks, snacks, camera, books, and money. He did a great job (and even included some balls in there for the boys at the playground).

We headed off around 8:30am and we got there at the perfect time! I got the laundry in the first load (towels and things that needed to go in the dryer) and then the boys were off to play. I was surprised that the washer only took a half hour and the dryer only 45 minutes… but that being said, Kristina, be ready to have me bring over some towels to dry. This dryer is good for clothes, not so good for towels!

Shortly after that they told me they were “way hungry” from coming *so* far and doing *so* much that morning so we had our snack of chips and juice.

Another woman came to do her laundry and stopped by to visit with the boys. She even brought her 2 little puppies up to see us when she came back to get her clothes and we visited with her for a while. The boys LOVED having puppies to walk.

I must say I’m surprised how many people sell their houses and just travel everywhere. She sold her house in NFL and drove here and is going to drive around some more this summer. It just surprises me I guess.

We got home and I hung up the laundry while the boys played around for a while. Like my artistic shots?

Q turned on the fan in the RT since it was SO hot in there. It was as if he had never seen a fan before!

Photobucket
Kyler, on the other hand had some different ideas and put the hose on the water spout all by himself (yes I’m in the trailer taking photos, it seems to be the only want to capture them doing cute things). K just about soaked his brother while ‘watering the tree’.

And after a short bike ride it was lunch time. We had our PB and chocolate sandwiches along with apples and PB. Now our new issue is the “Little Raccoons” (read: chipmunks) I’m not sure I like them. The kids were so impressed that they came so close to them during lunch and wanted to feed them. Now I’m fighting a new battle of no feeding the Chipmunks!

After some reading of our books from the library (I have to work on my reading voice) and cleaning up our hands and faces they are off to bed. I love this quiet!

Have a great day!

Week 3 Day 6 - Wednesday, June 3rd - Soccer Game #1

After nap time the boys began with a game of ‘squish the bugs’. They are so funny. All bugs are ‘bees’ so there was bees everywhere!
Photobucket

Then we got on the tour of the city to Soccer. We started with a photo of how we first left the campground:

*In our t-shirt, boots and tiggers

*Then in the car with our suckers after haircuts!

*Then the Library where we got our new bags and 3 books each (As well as 1 movie)
Photobucket
*Mommy saw some serious clouds and was getting worried about the game!
Photobucket
*And found a new splash park for this summer!
Photobucket
*Off to supper!

All the below ones are the first ever soccer game! Enjoy! Few notes – Kyler is Number 8, E is Number 6, Lo is Number 5. The ref (in the light blue shirt) was WONDERFUL! He was great with the kids (see the photos of E and him, he was making fun of her pouting and got her to kick the ball after). It doesn’t help that he is very good looking!

On the way home we stopped at… you guessed it, Reeds Dairy and got our milkshakes.

When we got home we got the garbage and recycle and headed up to the washrooms to brush our teeth and go pee! We came back and watched a half hour of the Monkey Movie (Curious George the one from the library). It was wonderful. While cleaning I found my timer my mom brought and thank goodness because I’m now timing everything! In fact that’s how we got Kyler back in the game at one point!

Hope you all enjoyed! I’m now off to bed.
